About Christian

I tell the story of a real rebuild.

I am Christian from Pfäffikon ZH. I am 45 years old and live with a total knee replacement. I know what it means to get to know your own body again and rebuild trust.

Rebuilt for Distance is my road to rebuilding resilience and making that process honestly visible: through training, faith, discipline, a book project and a goal far enough away to be taken seriously.

My starting point

I begin with a story. And with a clear goal.

My physical history has changed the way I look at movement. The total knee replacement is an important part of that. It reminds me to plan training deliberately, build progress cleanly and take responsibility for every step.

I document this road calmly and honestly. All those operations shape how I train: more planned, more mindful and more reliable.

The rebuild depends on repetition, patience and the decision to show up consistently.

Why I make this public

Because rebuilding is valuable while it is still underway.

Many stories are shown only once the goal has been reached. Rebuilt for Distance also shows the development towards it: the small decisions, the quiet progress and the days when patience matters more than pace.

Rebuilt for Distance starts earlier. I document the road while it is being built: in the beginning, in the adjustments, in staying with it and in the repeated next step.

Faith

My faith belongs to me. Without noise.

My faith in God is a quiet pillar in this project. It gives me support, direction and patience on this road.

There are days when patience, prayer and trust carry the next step. Especially then, faith helps me keep moving calmly and reliably.

For me, faith belongs exactly there: as quiet direction when the next step counts.

What I stand for

Honesty with postureI show progress, adjustments and lessons as they happen.
Patience before egoWith an artificial knee, the one who stays clean over the long term wins.
Commitment before moodMotivation gives energy. Commitment creates the framework that carries the road on ordinary days too.

What matters to me

Personal experience with clear boundaries.

Rebuilt for Distance is my personal story. It is meant to encourage, give orientation and make responsible persistence visible. Medical questions belong with professionals.

Anyone with health questions should speak with doctors, physiotherapists or other professionals. My road can encourage. It does not replace professional assessment.
