Rebuilt for Distance
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 May 2026
This Privacy Policy explains which personal data we process, why we process it and which rights you have. Rebuilt for Distance is aimed at people who want to approach training, everyday life, setbacks, goals and personal development more consciously. That is why we handle your data with particular care.
1. Controller
The controller is Rebuilt for Distance / RFD Bufalino, Christian Bufalino, 8330 Pfäffikon ZH, Switzerland. For privacy enquiries, you can reach us at contact@rebuiltfordistance.com. For account, sponsor access and technical questions, support@rebuiltfordistance.com is available.
2. Data we process
Depending on your use, we process contact details, account data, login data, profile information, payment references, newsletter data, support messages enquiries, sponsorship enquiries, technical log data and voluntary information about goals, training, everyday life, load, recovery, nutrition, injuries or health limitations.
If you connect sports services such as Strava, Polar or Garmin, or upload training files such as GPX, TCX, FIT or CSV, activity data, training summaries, connection status, technical tokens, file metadata and imported training values may be processed depending on the permissions granted. If you use voice messages in the Coach, audio files may be stored, transcribed and processed as Coach input. You decide whether to use such functions.
3. Purposes of processing
We use data to operate the website, create accounts, prepare sponsor access and future app functions, process payments, provide support, send newsletters, handle sponsorship enquiries, ensure security and technically improve the website.
4. Future AI functions
If you use the AI chat or Coach functions, your inputs, check-ins, goals, training data, uploaded files and optionally transcribed voice messages are processed so that suitable answers, daily goals, planning impulses or reflections can be created. Depending on the technical setup, specialised AI service providers may be involved. Only enter data that you really want to use for the Coach. The Coach does not replace medical diagnosis, therapy or medical advice.
5. Payments
Payments are processed via Stripe. Rebuilt for Distance does not store full credit card, Apple Pay or bank details. We store only necessary references such as customer, checkout or payment status so that booked offers can be processed and managed correctly.
6. Newsletter
For the newsletter, we use your email address and the language of your registration. Registration is based on consent and can be withdrawn at any time. Unsubscribe links or a message to newsletter@rebuiltfordistance.com are sufficient.
7. Cookies, local storage and analytics
The website uses technically necessary cookies and local storage for security, language, form protection, newsletter, login and protected areas. These functions are required for the website to work reliably.
In addition, we may record internal events such as clicks, form submissions, logins, errors, checkout starts and consent status so that we can improve stability, security and user guidance. This internal analytics processing is only activated if you allow optional analytics.
Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager are technically prepared. On the public website, they are loaded only if a valid Google configuration exists and you have consented to optional analytics. Without consent, no Google Analytics or Tag Manager scripts are loaded.
For login via the main site, Coach subdomain and further RFD products, we use technically necessary session cookies and authentication tokens. For paying non-administrator accounts, we limit simultaneous active devices or browser sessions to four in order to prevent misuse and properly protect personal access.
Details about categories, storage periods and settings are available in the Cookie Policy.
8. Recipients and service providers
Data may be shared with technical service providers where this is necessary for hosting, payment processing, email delivery, newsletters, AI functions, sports data integrations, security or support. These service providers may process data only within the relevant purpose.
9. International transfers
Individual service providers may process data outside Switzerland or the European Economic Area. In such cases, we rely on suitable safeguards, contractual protection measures or other legally recognised bases.
10. Retention
We keep data only for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose, legal obligations, contract processing, security, evidence or legitimate interests. Afterwards, data is deleted or anonymised.
11. Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability or object to processing where provided by law. You may withdraw consent for the future. To do so, write to contact@rebuiltfordistance.com.
12. Security
We use technical and organisational measures to protect data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No system is completely risk-free; that is why we continuously improve security, backups and access rights.
13. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy if the offer, technology or legal requirements change. The current version is available on this page.
